Less than 30 subscriptions remaining.

We are excited to announce our Record Club for 2019 which includes four, full length vinyl records shipped in pairs: two in March and two in September.

Subscription releases are limited to 500 foil-stamped first pressings. Records are packaged in an archival poly-sleeve and include a high quality digital download.

All BIG EGO Records are produced by Chris Schlarb.

The first album this year is a real event: guitarist Mike Baggetta in a trio with legendary drummer Jim Keltner, and Minutemen bassist Mike Watt. Cover artwork by Michael Hentz. The second album is an instant classic from Austin singer/songwriter GUMA. Both records explore multidimensional groove in very different and satisfying ways. Liner notes by Peter Margasak and Mike Watt (Baggetta / Keltner / Watt) and Meg Duffy of Hand Habits (GUMA).

The final two albums of the 2019 subscription were both recorded in July of 2019: Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon’s Namesake and David Tranchina’s The Ogre. Both albums feature large ensembles and wild arrangements and feel strangely connected while sounding nothing alike. Cover photographs contributed by Olivia Hemaratanatorn and Devin O’Brien. Liner notes for Namesake were written by producer Chris Schlarb and Charles Mingus biographer Todd S. Jenkins contributes to The Ogre.

Good music is hard to find. We're making it easier.
