About Chris Schlarb
BIO
Chris Schlarb is an inveterate musician, composer, and record maker from Long Beach, California.
He has produced and mixed over 100 albums including multiple Billboard and iTunes chart-topping records. In addition to his own label, BIG EGO Records, his work has been released by Asthmatic Kitty, Joyful Noise, Astral Sprits, Trouble In Mind, Jealous Butcher, Harding Street Assembly Lab, Monte Bre, and olFactory record labels.
An accomplished composer, he has provided soundtracks for the NightSky, Dropsy, and Hypnospace Outlaw video games.
In mid-September 2019, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon’s “Almost Heaven” was reached #41 on the iTunes Pop Music charts. The song was produced and mixed by Chris at BIG EGO.
Chris produced the Best Selling Audible Original (#1 Kids, #2 Fiction), Viva Durant and the Secret of the Silver Buttons by Ashli St. Armant.
His most recent Psychic Temple double album, Houses of the Holy debuted at #40 on the Billboard Rock Album charts. His previous record, Psychic Temple III was chosen by Aquarium Drunkard as one of the best albums of the decade.
Chris and his wife, Adriana, opened BIG EGO Studios in 2015. He is the father of at least four children and is currently writing a small book about recording.
